Attaining the Second Degree of Reiki enhances and amplifies the First Degree energy and places the practitioner on a higher spiritual level. At this level the practitioner also learns the ability to send Reiki energy over time and distance, by using the symbols and mantras. The Second Degree energy deals primarily with healing ones emotional and mental levels of being. The Second Degree of Reiki attunes you to a still higher frequency. The symbols and mantras you receive become a part of you, since during the attunement, they are sealed into your energy field. Though they look the same for everyone, each symbol will be unique for the attuned one. Each practitioner gives the symbols a unique significance encompassing their own knowledge, feelings and intentions.
